About Rehab Group

The B. J. Patel Group is a closely held family group headed by Mr. B. J. Patel, who is the Chairman and Managing Director of the group. Mr. Surendra V. Patel is the Sr. Director and Mr. Bhupesh B. Patel is the other Director of the group.

 

The other team members include Mr. Rahul B. Patel and Mr. Anoop M. Patel.

 

The B. J. Patel group has been engaged in the Real Estate development and construction business in India since the past 40 years. The Group has successfully completed construction of several residential and commercial complexes in Mumbai. The group owns several valuable properties in the city of Mumbai and other fast growing cities like Pune and Jalgaon in Maharashtra and Ahmedabad in Gujarat.

Very recently the group has completed a project for development of 6,268 flats and 175 shops for the MMRDA (Mumbai Metropolitan Regional Development Authority) for a rehabilitation project aided by the World Bank on the group’s own land at Mankhurd in Mumbai. Larsen & Toubro, the construction giant, was the Joint Venture Partner in this project.

This project has earned a lot of praise for the Maivan contruction method used and completion of the entire project in 2years. Appreciation for the group and its company M/s. Rehab Housing Pvt. Ltd. was received from State, Central Governments and the World Bank for the timely execution and quality of work carried out by BJ Patel group.

The group has recently undertaken development of their commercial real estate project which is spread over 35,000 sq. mtrs. (i.e. 4 lacs sq. ft.) at Turbhe, Vashi, Navi Mumbai. The complex will consist of IT, Shopping, Food Courts and Restaurants.

The group has developed a total of around 2.5 million sq. feet of land till date. The Group’s experience today ranges from Private Housing to Mass Housing, Commercial Development and even into services for the Municipal Corporation. Mr. B. J. Patel – Chairman and Managing Director

Born in Gujarat in an industrious family. Migrated to Jalgaon and joined the family business at a very early age. Initially handled the trading activity of wholesale grain and kirana merchants. Single handedly developed the process of making “PAPAIN” a food enzyme and marketed successfully to an international pharmaceutical company PFIZER. During his visits to Mumbai in the early 70’s saw an opportunity in the Real Estate sector. Soon after he migrated to Mumbai and took projects in the Real Estate and has led the group through strength and vision, hard work, honesty, transparency and a sense of fair play. 

Mr. Surendra V. Patel – Senior Director

Born in Jalgaon, Maharashtra. Completed schooling through Hansraj Morarjee Public School and graduated in Pharmacy through U.D.C.T. College, Mumbai. Joined in business with Mr. B.J.Patel and was instrumental in pioneering and setting up a private safe deposit vault in the name and style of ‘Secure Safe Vaults Ltd.’ Primarily heads the finance, investments, sales and administration of the group.

Mr. Bhupesh B. Patel – Director

Born in Jalgaon, Maharashtra. Early schooling done in Jalgaon, Maharashtra and thereafter in Mumbai. Graduated from N. M. College, Mumbai in the commerce stream. Thereafter joined the family business of property development and construction. Was instrumental in initiating the diversification and successful foray of the group into the granite mining and marketing field. Continues to head and steer the family business of real estate development. Mainly handles the liaison, new land acquisition and foray into new vistas of property development concepts.

Mr. Rahul B. Patel – Chartered Accountant

Graduated in commerce from Gujarat University and is also a qualified Chartered Accountant. Joined the B. J. Patel Group in 1988 and heads the legal & taxation department. Also responsible for the strategic planning, project co-ordination and execution of the group’s business ventures.
